This page describes the features of the Pykatone studio website. Individual games and external platforms have their own privacy information.

Browsing this website

The studio website presents our games, team, and downloadable press materials. Its pages do not require an account. Fonts and website images are served locally; the website code does not add analytics or advertising trackers, or set tracking cookies.

Studio administration

The private studio editor uses an essential session cookie to keep the authorized administrator signed in and protect forms. Inactive sessions expire after 30 minutes, with an eight-hour maximum session lifetime. The editor stores the account name, a one-way password hash and, when enabled, an authenticator setup secret in private server storage outside the public website. These features do not track visitors for advertising.

Failed sign-in counts use a keyed hash of the network address. The active rate-limit window lasts 15 minutes; expired counters are removed on subsequent authentication activity. Content backups are stored privately to recover editing mistakes. Uploaded profile and project images are re-encoded before publication to remove embedded metadata. Published images and profile information are publicly accessible, so only upload material intended for the studio website.

Contacting the studio

Contact links open your email application. If you choose to send an email, the studio receives the information you include, such as your email address and message, so it can respond to your enquiry. Do not include information that is unnecessary for your request.

External websites and games

Links to itch.io, Google Play, LinkedIn, Instagram, and X take you to third-party services. Their own privacy policies apply there. This website notice does not replace the privacy policy for any game. The existing Vecta privacy policy is available separately.

Hosting

Your browser connects to the website’s hosting service to request pages and files. Hosting-level server logs and security processing are separate from the features described above. Contact us if you need information about these processes.
